Brzezinski wasn't criticized for saying many people agree with Palin; she was criticized for saying real Americans agree with Palin -- and thus implying that if you don't agree with Palin, you aren't a real American. Is it even possible that Brzezinski doesn't understand this?(emphasis added)
It's not only possible, it's likely.
Never underestimate the power of stupidity.

If George W. Bush had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and incorrectly formatted DVDs, when Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved?

So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? Can't think of anything? Don't worry. He's done all this in 5 months -- so you'll have three years and seven months to come up with an answer. No common sense, naive, incompetent, uninformed voters did this to themselves. Stand up and take a bow!!
Some people just can't get over what the crappy side of election day feels like. Boo frakin' hoo. More whining and complaining from the crybaby radical right. (So obviously proud of both their party's "accomplishments" and their own pathetic toadying that they can't be bothered to sign their own name.)
And when the best they have to offer is not even one single idea of their own, but just sad, stupid attempts at the "gotcha" game, it's no wonder they don't want anyone to know who they are.
It's even more obvious why they're too pathetic to sign their own name: they plagiarize other people's words. (Google any of those phrases and you'll see hundreds of websites with the same exact list.)
Here's a hint, Anonymous, if you don't know where the words you stole came from, it's OK to put it in quotes along with the attribution "author unknown" if you're either unable or too lazy to figure out where it came from.
Let's look at it like this. Here's a few of them:
"If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of his speeches, would you have thought this embarrassingly narcissistic and tacky?"
JFK frequently gave gifts of his book. No different.
"If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia, would you have approved?"
This action is called respect. We may not agree with these actions, cultures, and beliefs, but etiquette still prevails.
"If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference to the non-existent "Austrian language," would you have brushed it off as a minor slip?"
Technically, the dialect spoken in Austria is it's own. Hence, one could say . . .
"If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem to keep current on their income taxes, would you have approved?"
Every presidency in the modern era has seen this occur with advisers. Why? Different issues for different days. Though, in theory I bet most of us do not declare every single gift we get on our taxes. Technically, that is defrauding.
"If George W. Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single tree on “Earth Day”, would you have concluded he’s a hypocrite?"
Um, this is something called security. The president can not travel the way the average citizen can. There's more issues there, but I'll stop.
"If George W. Bush’s administration had okayed Air Force One 20 flying low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan causing widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually “get” what happened on 9-11?"
This was in poor taste, but the problem was quickly fixed.
"If George W. Bush had been the first President to need a teleprompter installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have laughed and said this is more proof of how he inept he is on his own and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?"
Obama isn't the only president to need cue cards. He just does it more openly.
"If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?"
Said company took taxpayer money to save the organization. Seriously, why would you not remove the CEO that led the company into said situation?
"If George W. Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved?"
When FDR began to pump and prime the economy in 1933 that same arguments were made. He was later hailed a savior. Obama may or may not be, but we should wait the test of time.
"If George W. Bush had reduced your retirement plan’s holdings of GM stock by 90% and given the unions a majority stake in GM, would you have approved?"
Unions are not perfect, but they have been the backbone of labor reform. You should thank unions for your required day off every week.
"If George W. Bush had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take Laura Bush to a play in NYC, would you have approved?"
And why did this cost so much: security. Also, the Obamas going to a play does exactly what the White House is trying to encourage right now. Support the arts, independent companies and organizations, and vacation/relax on a smaller scale. Yes, somewhat of an irony on the cost of the Obamas, but once again . . . Also, go look at the cost for a night out for every president since Nixon. Obama did it cheaper.
Okay, so I can't afford most of these items right now, but it doesn't mean I think no one should do them. I don't agree with every action of this president, but I do still believe that we have many days and months to see the results.
I personally find it refreshing and even exciting that this president is so visible to the public. Unfortunately, we still have right wingers who will take the slightest infraction out of context or not put things into context.
Actually the only one of the list I really have any problem with (that Obama was actually involved with himself, the AF1 thing was just stupid, but had nothing to do with him) is the bowing thing.
According to Miss Manners, whom I consult on all things etiquette, there is no reason for American leaders to bow or cursey to royalty. As she cleverly (and correctly) states, "When Miss Manners sees American citizens delighting in bowing or curtseying to royalty, she tries to remind herself that they are just being silly, not treasonous. "
Of course, the right wing nutjobs, not knowing anything about manners themselves, instantly interpret anything silly as treason because they're not smart enough to know the difference.
But of course none of this has anything to do with the topic of the post, which is why the anonymous troll decided to leave his/her usual droppings rather than address a point to which he/she has no response. LOL
First, to the anonymous poster - big deal.
Barack Obama is stuck with so many serious problems left over from George W. Bush, from two nearly-failed wars to an economy and national economic and physical infrastructure at the point of collapse, I couldn't care less about whether or not the President bowed to a king or patted Queen Elizabeth on the back.
The best complaint you can come up with is the whole teleprompter thing? Please stop before I yawn so much it hurts my jaws.
Beside that, this was a complaint about Mika Brzezinksi being stupid. The whole country knows what a doof our previous President was (and, one assumes, continues to be).
"I know you are but what am I" is not a good rhetorical strategy, BTW.
